


Terry Fox Laboratory Students won BCCRI Rising Stars awards
We are pleased to share that Katherine Baillie (Stirling Lab) and Dr. Athena Phoa (Jiang Lab) have received recognition at the BCCRI Rising Stars Awards.
Katherine Baillie's work on "Investigating dominant negative mutations in DNA2 as a model for targeted cancer therapy" earned her the Outstanding In-Person Poster Presentation Award.

Dr. Kwangjin Park awarded a fellowship from the MOGAM Science Scholarship Foundation

Dr. Florian Kuchenbauer recognized with UBC outstanding academic performance for 2022
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Florian Kuchenbauer, distinguished scientist of Terry Fox Laboratory (Kuchenbauer Lab) and associate professor at University of British Columbia, has been honored with the Outstanding Academic Performance (OAP) award from the UBC Faculty of Medicine in 2022.

High impact publication from Andrew Wu and Ryan Yen, Colling Stevens Laboratory
Students of Dr. Xiaoyan Jiang, Andrew Wu and Ryan Yen (Collings Stevens Laboratory), along with a team of researchers, have published a paper in Leukemia Journal titled, "Identification of Multivariable microRNA and Clinical Biomarker Panels to Predict Imatinib Response in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia at Diagnosis."
