Dr. Tim Lee appointed Interim Head of Cancer Control Research
Dr. Tim Lee has very kindly agreed to step in as Interim Head of Cancer Control Research. Dr. Lee will take over from July 1, 2022. We are all very grateful to Dr. Lee for offering his time and energy to this role, and the Operations Team and Scientists are looking forward to working with him.

BC Cancer Studentships are sponsored by the BC Cancer Foundation and support senior undergraduate university students and/or junior medical or dental students seeking hands-on training in cancer research in British Columbia. These summer studentships may address any discipline of cancer research including clinical, translational, basic, behavioural and population research areas.

Dr. Peter Stirling (Stirling Lab) and co-principal investigators Dr. David Huntsman (Huntsman Lab), Philip Hieter (UBC) and Jean-Yve Masson (Laval University) were awarded a 2021 OvCAN/Ovarian Cancer Canada-Cancer Research Society Grant for their research entitled, “Next generation DNA repair inhibitors for ovarian cancer treatment.”
