
Dr. Wang is a surgical pathologist specializing in genitourinary pathology. He earned his MD from Tongji Medical University and completed both his Ph.D. and Anatomic Pathology residency at the University of British Columbia. After completing a fellowship in GU Pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, he joined BC Cancer as a consultant pathologist in 2017. Currently, Dr. Wang serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC, leads the Department of Pathology at BC Cancer, and is the principal pathologist for the BC Cancer Genitourinary Biobank.
Recognized as a prominent clinician-scientist and academic pathologist, Dr. Wang has published over 60 peer-reviewed original articles in leading journals such as Nature Communications and the American Journal of Surgical Pathology. He has also contributed to two book chapters and is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Wang’s excellence has been recognized through numerous awards from UBC Health, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Department of Pathology.
