The BC Genitourinary Cancer Biobank (GUBB), led by BC Cancer under the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), is committed to ethically collecting, storing, and distributing high-quality patient samples obtained across seven major sites in British Columbia (Abbotsford, Kelowna, Prince George, Surrey, Vancouver, Vernon, and Victoria). Under the guidance of principal investigators Drs. Kim N. Chi, Alexander W. Wyatt, Corinne Maurice-Dror, and Gillian Vandekerkhove, our mission is to empower researchers to advance biomarker development in genitourinary cancer. The GU Biobank primarily supports BC Cancer–centric, innovative research initiatives, with BC Cancer GU oncologists and affiliated researchers as the primary users. If you are a researcher interested in accessing biobank samples, please contact us at gubiobank@bccancer.bc.ca to learn more about the application process.
