2021 Cohort

The Practice-based Research Challenge is an annual program that provides training, mentorship, and funding to help clinicians develop and conduct research projects inspired by their practice and the desire to improve patient care. Five teams have been awarded funding to conduct small-scale research projects in their own clinical settings.​ One of the teams is led by Hilary Cochrane, a speech language pathologist from BC Cancer - Victoria:

Congratulations to Eleah Stringer for receiving a MSHRBC Health Professional-Investigator award. HP-I awards support health professionals who are actively involved in patient care to conduct and apply research relevant to the health system to improve health outcomes in B.C. and beyond.

Its primary mission is to drive evidence-informed advancements in care, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes and enhanced system performance.

Fall 2023 BC Cancer Nursing and Allied Health Research Grant Competition

Practice-based research is where front-line providers, patient and family partners, and other collaborators engage to tackle complex, real-world challenges that directly affect patient care and experience. To support practice-based research, the BC Cancer Nursing and Allied Health Research and Knowledge Translation (NAHRKT) team is pleased to announce the inaugural BC Cancer Nursing and Allied Health Research Grant Competition.
