Supervisor: Dr. Kelli Stajduhar
Amber Bourgeois is a Nurse Practitioner in medical oncology at the Victoria Centre, in breast cancer and hematology.
Ms. Bourgeois’ research interests include enhancing equitable access to cancer treatment and care. Amber’s doctoral research is focused on investigating barriers in access to cancer treatment and care for those who are rendered vulnerable on the basis of the intersection of structural inequities (e.g., poverty, homelessness) and marginalizing experiences such as mental illness and substance use disorders. Her long term goal is to promote sustainable and equitable cancer care models that are evidence based and informed by clinical practice.
