Congratulations, Yuheng Wang, for publishing his work on content-based image processing. This is the best AI system so far for automatically retrieving images with similar diagnoses from a database. The main contribution of the proposed system is that it can work with databases of multiple data types while avoiding the problem of dimensionality bias between different modalities.
Dr. Tim Lee has very kindly agreed to step in as Interim Head of Cancer Control Research. Dr. Lee will take over from July 1, 2022. We are all very grateful to Dr. Lee for offering his time and energy to this role, and the Operations Team and Scientists are looking forward to working with him.
