Congratulations to Dr. Florian Kuchenbauer (Kuchenbauer Lab) who recently has been awarded a two-year Canadian Cancer Society Innovation Grant as part of a research team consisted of investigators from Simon Fraser University (Dr. Robert Britton, the Lead PI, and Drs. David Vocadlo and Matthew Nodwell) for their proposal entitled “Small molecule inhibitors of O-GlcNAc transferase: validation of a new anticancer target”.

Innovation grants support the highest quality creative problem solving in cancer research. The goal of the innovation program is to support the development and testing of transformative, paradigm-shifting concepts and approaches to address problems in cancer research, enhance our understanding of cancer, and generate novel approaches to confront the challenges we face in defeating cancer.
