Justine currently lives and works on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples (including the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations) in what is colonially known as Victoria.
Justine brings a background in oncology clinical practice, qualitative research, and quality improvement to her role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology at the University of Victoria, and then went on to do her Masters of Applied Science in Nursing with a specialization in Global Health at McGill University in Montreal. Following graduation, she started her nursing career providing clinical care on the in-patient Oncology, Hematology, and Bone Marrow Transplant unit at BC Children's Hospital. While at BC Children's, Justine worked as the interim Quality and Safety Lead for the Onc/Hem/BMT Program and took on a contract as the first Global Health Research Nurse at the Institute for Global Health at BC Children's and Women's Hospitals and Health Centre. In November 2023, Justine began working at BC Cancer Victoria, where she worked clinically within the Systemic Therapy Program before starting her role as CNS.
