Dr. Wilcox is the Research Projects Coordinator with the Nursing and Allied Health Research and Knowledge Translation department at BC Cancer. Her PhD from the University of British Columbia focused on promoting and improving the health of health workers through understanding the roles of international organizations in their occupational health and safety. This included studying the implementation of a quality improvement tool (HealthWISE) for health facilities in seven hospitals in the southern region of Africa. Liz previously worked with the Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Healthcare (OHSAH) in BC, helping to coordinate multiple initiatives with regional health authorities and health unions across the province.

In her current role, Liz will support the coordination of the MSFHR C2 project focused on planning to enhance equity-oriented cancer care in BC. She will also support a pilot study evaluating the use of electronic patient reported outcomes in breast cancer follow-up.  With expertise in qualitative research methods, she is passionate about engaging stakeholders and accounting for the diverse needs and perspectives of policy-makers, patients and publics in research and decision-making processes.
