Charissa Chiu is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for the inpatient unit, medical daycare and molecular imaging and therapy nursing at BC Cancer - Vancouver Centre. Her clinical experience includes surgical oncology, specialized dementia care, acute medicine, and palliative care. Her passion is working closely with teams to create systems’ change that support patients and families to be able to access and receive equitable quality care based on their values and goals. Charissa also has an adjunct professor with the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia. Her research interests are closely aligned with improving frontline clinical care for nurses, patients and caregivers.
