This past year (2025-26) we had two undergraduate teams pursue fascintating Capstone Projects with us. The two projects were:
1) "Life-size Anthropomorphic Phantom for Nuclear Medicine Imaging" led by Aprisa Gunawan, Ivy McKay, Kadyn Eng, Mona Xu, Raiaan Khan, and Tausif Chowdhury, from UBC Mechanical Engineering.
On July 21st, Luke Polson successfully defended his PhD dsseration, with the title, "Advancing Quantitative SPECT with Open-Source Image Reconstruction, Uncertainty Estimation, and Image Generation Optimization". A great journey by Luke in our Qurit Lab.
On July 3rd, Shadab Ahamed successfully defended his PhD dissertation, titled, "Deep-Learning-Guided Image Generation, Enhancement and Analysis: With Applications to Nuclear Medicine Imaging". It's been a real pleasure having Shadab as part of the Qurit team.
