The Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow's Health (CanPATH), including the BC Generations Project, helmed by Dr. Parveen Bhatti, has been awarded $1.75 million by the COVID-19 Immunity Task Force to support efforts in the assessment of COVID-19 seroprevalence across Canada. Monitoring seroprevalence is crucial to understanding infection dynamics so that public health responses can be appropriately planned. The funding will be used to collect biologic samples from 20,000 CanPATH participants, and depending on response rates, additional funding to later collect a second set of samples from the same participants will be considered.
