Are you a healthcare provider in BC with experience of working with childhood cancer survivors who were re-integrated back into school?

Are you a school principal under the Vancouver School Board with experience of helping re-integrate childhood cancer survivors back into school?

We want to hear from you!

Project overview:

The research team at the BC Children’s Hospital, PHSA is conducting a study to gain insights from healthcare providers and educators (school principals) to gain insight into the educational needs, challenges, and successes of childhood cancer survivors as they navigate their academic journeys. Our goal is to find the right support to help them go back to school and do well after cancer treatment.

Please visit the [PROJECT PAGE] for more details about the study.

The study will involve a short screening form, and eligible participants will be invited to participate in an interview (for healthcare providers) or a focus group (with school principals) over Zoom. The interview will take no longer than 60 minutes (for interviews) or 90 minutes (for focus group) of your time.

During the interview, we may ask about issues like:

· Academic continuity and re-entry

· Physical and psychological well-being

· School life and participation (peer relationships, social isolation, academic performance, recurring absences, and support from the school community);

· Stakeholders' responses to childhood cancer
