Dr. Dean Regier is a Senior Scientist within Cancer Control Research, BC Cancer and the Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control (ARCC), and an Associate Professor, School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia. He is the Director of the Health Economics Support and Research Unit (HESRU) at BC Cancer, and currently serves on BC’s Drug Benefit Council, which makes evidence-informed recommendations to the Ministry of Health about the listing of drugs on the PharmaCare program formulary.
Dr. Regier’s CCR research lab focuses on informing the design of learning healthcare systems that turns genomic knowledge into sustainable cancer care. He incorporates this person-centred evidence into economic models that answer questions of equity and value for money.
