My project focuses on how mutations involving chromatin modifying genes can lead to increased risk of transformation in B-cell lymphoma through pathogenic DNA recombination events. Having established in vitro models to study human B cell processes, I am interested in describing and elucidating the mechanisms by which these mutations alter DNA architecture in three-dimensional space and DNA damage repair fidelity, thereby driving erroneous DNA translocations.
