Dr. Julian J. Lum is an expert in the study of T cell metabolism and autophagy. His laboratory has a long-standing interest in delineating how metabolism impacts T cell immune responses. The lab employs a top-down approach whereby they study primary human biospecimens to further understand direct mechanisms of action using preclinical model systems. The primary goal of the Lum lab is to translate findings into interventions that can be applied in the context of cancer immunotherapies, with a focus on ovarian and prostate cancer.
