As part of the 2026 PHS Summer Student Series, eight trainees presented their summer research projects. This was the largest group of presenters since the series began in 2022.
The presentations showcased the breadth of research across the department, spanning clinical and translational research, biomedical engineering, laboratory-based research, cancer epidemiology, Indigenous health equity, and hereditary cancer and genetic testing. Trainees shared their research questions, approaches, and findings, while also reflecting on what they had learnt through their research and training experiences at PHS.
The presentations also provided an opportunity for trainees to engage with researchers, staff, fellow trainees, and supervisors through questions and discussion.
Congratulations to all our student presenters on their accomplishments this summer. We also thank the supervisors and research teams for their support and mentorship, as well as all PHS members who attended in person or online and contributed their questions, feedback, and encouragement.
