Cancer immunotherapy is a rapidly advancing field that has driven major breakthroughs in cancer treatment. Central to its success are T cells, a type of white blood cell capable of recognizing and eliminating cancer cells. My research focuses on developing engineered immune cell therapies for hard-to-treat solid tumours by designing novel cell-engineering strategies that enhance tumour recognition, potency, and persistence in the body, with the ultimate goal of translating these advances from the laboratory to the clinic.
