Victor Negrea Puskas is a Graduate Student at the BC Cancer - Deeley Research Centre. He completed his BSc in Microbiology at the University of Victoria before transitioning to an MSc in Biochemistry with a focus on immuno-oncology in the lab of Dr. Brad Nelson (BC Cancer - Deeley Research Centre). Victor’s research is currently focused on uncovering the mechanisms behind the prognostic significance of tumour-infiltrating B cells (TIL-Bs) in patients with primary and recurrent high-grade serous ovarian cancer. His work centers on spatial histopathology analysis of patient-derived tumour biopsies. Through multi-institutional collaborations with Canadian and international experts, Victor aims to better understand TIL-B functionality, which could play a critical role in the development of future immunotherapies to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
