Dr. Chahal is a physician and researcher with experience in gastroenterology, liver disease, and liver transplantation. After completing his medical school, internal medicine residency, and gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the University of British Columbia, he went on to receive training in advanced liver disease and liver transplantation at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. During his training, Dr. Chahal was a recipient of the UBC Friedman Award for Scholars in Health and the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver (CASL)-Canadian Liver Foundation (CLF) Clinical Fellowship Award. Dr. Chahal has published many scientific articles and is co-editor of the recent Wiley Blackwell book, "AI in Clinical Medicine".
