LivBC is a research group based at BC Cancer, founded in 2024 with the mission to advance our understanding of liver cancer. Composed of a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians, LivBC is dedicated to investigating hepatic malignancies. Our goal is to explore the role of genetic alterations in the evolution of Hepatocellular carcinoma, using cutting-edge sequencing technologies to study normal, diseased, and malignant hepatocytes.
This program strives to enhance research participation by providing greater opportunities for patients and clinicians to engage in groundbreaking liver cancer research. We aim to decode the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying liver cancer, identifying novel therapeutic targets to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, LivBC is committed to fostering a collaborative network of researchers, clinicians, and industry partners to accelerate the translation of research findings into tangible advancements in liver cancer treatment.
