I am a graduate of University of Victoria, from the department of Biochemistry and Microbiology. I completed my honours thesis in Dr. Brad Nelsons lab and continue to work as a research intern upon graduation.
My research interests are in immunology, oncology, and proteins.
My research focuses on the deciphering role of tumour-infiltrating B cells (TIL-B), as they have powerful immunological abilities. Our goal is to identify the tumour-relevant antigenic targets of the TIL-B antibodies. We use high-grade serous ovarian cancer patient antibodies that we recombinantly produce and screen them in a phage-based bacteria expression immunoscreening assay called rAscal.
