The Office of Research Administration and Operations (ORA) facilitates day-to-day operations throughout BC Cancer.

The Research Administration and Operations office at BC Cancer is the central resource to support and facilitate world class research.  The office strives to achieve this by providing research services and education to the BC Cancer research community.  We are committed to providing the research community with effective , efficient research services and standardized processes based on best practices. We aim to strengthen research infrastructure platforms, and work with PHSA to identify and implement standard best practices for the research enterprise and to strengthen new relationships with our academic and funding partners.

How We Support Research

The ORA team assists with maintaining, strengthening, and building research infrastructure, ensuring sustainability of our research enterprise together with our funding partners. Through a team based approach of seven core support areas, ORA leads the development, implementation and education of provincial research processes, procedures and measures that align with province-wide standards and overall BC Cancer objectives while ensuring they meet the requirements of key external stakeholders.
