List of services provided for by the Department of Molecular Oncology

The Bénard Lab is equipped with many fee-for-service options. More information on each can be found below.

Preclinical Imaging

Contact: Nadine Colpo
ncolpo@bccrc.ca

The Small Animal Imaging Resource (SAIR) provides non-invasive preclinical hybrid imaging techniques using computed tomography (CT) with positron emission tomography (PET/CT) or single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT/CT). PET and SPECT offer the ability to assess physiological functions of a tumour/organ that can be correlated to anatomy (CT). Stand-alone CT imaging is also offered with or without IV contrast. Image analysis providing multiple regions of interest and quantitative image snapshots are also available.

Non-Imaging

Contact: Helen Merkens
hmerkens@bccrc.ca

Non-imaging services may be provided by our staff related to the imaging study.  These services include: subject preparation (cell cultivation, tumour inoculation, tumour growth); animal health checks; subject biodistribution and analysis.

Radiation Dosimetry

Contact: Dr. Carlos Uribe
curibe@bccrc.ca

Preclinical and clinical internal radiation dose assessments based on biodistribution data or SPECT/CT imaging.
