Greg’s role as Leader of the BC Cancer Research Centre Radiation program is to maintain the Radiation Safety Program for the BC Cancer - Research laboratory sites, which include the BC Cancer Research Centre (BCCRC), Deeley Research Centre (DRC) and the BC Cancer- Vancouver Cyclotron research labs. The BCCRC has instituted policies, controls and services to insure institutional activities involving nuclear substances or radiation devices are compliant with the regulatory requirements mandated by different government bodies (CNSC, WorkSafeBC). Greg is also actively involved in other areas of Occupational Health and Safety at the BCCRC, including cytotoxic safe handling , emergency management and fire safety. He is also a member of the BCCRC Lab Operations Committee as well as the BCCRC and BC Cancer-Vancouver Joint Occupation Health and Safety Committees.
