Kayleigh started in the MCIC as a research intern in June 2022 after completing her degree in Microbiology for the University of Victoria. Kayleigh has previously worked at the Deeley Research Centre in the Highschool Internship Program in 2016 with Katy Milne. Afterwards she returned to the DRC to volunteer as a research experience student with Nicole Gierc in 2018 and later that year she returned to the MCIC for an 8-month work term. Kayleigh’s work at the DRC has inspired her to continue studying in the cancer/immunology field through a master’s position.
