Dr. Meera Rayar is a co-principal investigator for the Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship (CAYACS) program, alongside Dr. Stuart Peacock. Together, they lead efforts to advance research and improve outcomes for cancer survivors in these age groups.

Dr. Rayar is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at BC Children's Hospital, where her clinical practice focuses on bone marrow transplantation and hematology. Dr. Rayar's research centers on examining the treatment and outcomes of patients with childhood cancer or chronic hematological conditions. In particular, she is interested in understanding how health care delivery models and health care policies influence patient’s medical outcomes. She is deeply interested in patients' and families' perspectives, particularly how they report their experiences with illness and health care interactions and the impact of these on their quality of life. To explore these areas, Dr. Rayar employs a mix of clinical research methods, analyses using administrative databases, and evaluations of existing health care programs.
