Congratulations to Pamela Hoodless (Hoodless Lab) for receiving a Cancer Research Society Operating Grant for her project entitled, “Defining epigenetic alterations in liver cancer at single cell resolution”.
This research focuses on exploring how epigenetic networks are altered in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) compared to normal liver and how these alternation drive transcriptional changes. This work will further explore the alterations in accessible chromatin in HCC and normal liver. The ultimate goal is to better understand how epigenetic alterations observed in HCC drive cancer progression and how they relate to a dedifferentiated state.
