Greg Baillie
Greg has been described by others in the lab as "a goofy guy" and "a nice person". Although he has been to a game at the Safeco Field (see above), he could not be described as a baseball fanatic - he can't even pronounce Ichiro properly. His favourite food is Marmite and potato chip sandwiches.

    Research Interests:

  • Bioinformatic and functional analysis of mouse retroelements.
  • My research at the TFL is funded by a New Zealand Science and Technology Postdoctoral Fellowship. I have two main projects: 1. Further characterization of the relationship between the mouse retroelements ETn and MusD; 2. Discovery and analysis of mouse genes whose expression is controlled or influenced by mouse retroelements.
