Research Interests

My research focuses on the role of epigenomic instability in non-small cell lung cancers. I am currently searching for novel tumour suppressor genes in early-stage lung tumours. Early inactivation of tumour suppressors by DNA hypermethylation is a common phenomenon in many cancer types, and is commonly found in concert with other inactivating alterations such as loss of heterozygosity and sequence alterations. The integration of multiple microarray data types is key to my work. Additionally, I am working with other normal and diseased lung tissues investigating large neighborhoods of epigenetic alteration.
