Research Role:

Staff scientist, Department of Experimental Therapeutics, BC Cancer Agency

Education:

Ph.D., University of British Columbia,2010

M.D., China Medical University, China, 2000

 Research Interests:

My principle focus lies in translational research, in particular the establishment of patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models and identification of biomarkers and therapeutic targets for prostate cancer. Currently, I am working with genomic and transcriptomic profiling data of Living Tumor Laboratory (LTL) PDX models that we recently established and mainly focusing on identifying drivers and potential therapeutic targets for advanced prostate cancer (castration-resistant prostate cancer and neuroendocrine prostate cancer). I am also working towards building a research program which use integrated multi-omic data of preclinical PDX models and clinical samples as the basis to reveal molecular mechanisms underlying progression and treatment resistance of various types of cancer. The findings will provide valuable guidance for precision oncology and lead to novel cancer therapies.
