    Research Interests:

I accidentally got into research in my fated pursuit of veterinary college – the majority of my experience being on the animal care side of things, I’ve done a lot of experimental animal husbandry. I have also worked directly under a facility veterinarian, training and supervising staff and researchers in procedures and ensuring protocols and policies were followed.
Additionally, I worked as research assistant live-trapping wild rats on the Downtown Eastside for the Vancouver Rat Project, so if you have any questions about what rats look like outside of the lab, feel free to ask!

I like learning, I like rats (mice are okay, too), I like spreadsheets and I like science. That’s why I enjoy research.

    Personal Interests:

I am “active”, playing competitive soccer and volleyball for the majority of my teen and adult life, as well as basketball, softball and lacrosse when I was younger. Recently, I have also added roller derby to that list. I also enjoy hiking. My non-active hobbies include watching Netflix and eating (both in large quantities).
