Undergraduate opportunities at the Deeley Research Centre include:

  • Co-op training

  • Honours thesis

  • Work study

 

Our interdisciplinary program allows students to train across the entire research continuum, from basic to translational to clinical projects. Undergraduate students have unparalleled access to both laboratory scientists and clinicians, giving them frontline exposure to current clinical issues related to cancer. Our students gain not only with an understanding of science, but with an appreciation of the progress and challenges experienced by cancer patients and clinicians today.

 

Undergraduate students can enter through four academic departments:

 

Application process for Honours or Work Study positions:

1. Only students who meet UVic or UBC departmental requirements (see above links) should apply.

2. Send your CV, transcripts and brief description of research interests to the prospective research team member.

3. Prospective applicants will be invited for an interview and tour of the Deeley Research Centre.

4. Final acceptance will require approval from the host academic department at UVic or UBC.
