Graduate studies in cancer immunology

We are one of Canada's leading cancer immunology programs. Our interdisciplinary program allows students to train across the entire research continuum, from basic to translational to clinical projects. Graduate students have unparalleled access to clinicians, giving them frontline exposure to current clinical issues related to cancer. Our students graduate not only with an understanding of science, but with an appreciation of the progress and challenges experienced by cancer patients and clinicians today.

Graduate students can enter through five streams, giving students an opportunity to design a curriculum tailored to their individual career interests: 

• Biochemistry and Microbiology, University of Victoria

• Biology, University of Victoria

• Medical Genetics, University of British Columbia

• Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of British Columbia

• Interdisciplinary Oncology Program, University of British Columbia

Application process

1. Only students who meet UVic or UBC departmental requirements (see above links) should apply.

2. Send your CV, transcripts and brief description of research interests to the prospective research team member.

3. Prospective applicants will be invited for an interview and tour of the Deeley Research Centre.

4. Successful applicants will then apply to UVic or UBC for final acceptance.
