Research Interests:

The tumor microenvironment can be a hostile place for infiltrating lymphocytes. Aggressively proliferating cancer cells outcompete TILs for available nutrients and produce high levels of lactic acid, compromising effector function and limiting the anti-tumor immune response. I am interested in metabolically reprogramming T cells to better retain their cytolytic capabilities under low-glucose conditions, with the hope of improving their robustness for adoptive cell therapy.
