Research Interests

Elucidating the effects of chemotherapy on tumour infiltrating lymphocytes in ovarian cancer.

The immune system can play a role in the survival of cancer patients. Specifically, patients with higher densities of certain tumour infiltrating lymphocytes can increase their survival. My research seeks to understand how the standard cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, affect the behavior of these immune cells and the influence in patient survival. These results have important implications in designing more effective cancer treatments that focuses on combining chemotherapy with immunotherapy.
