    Research Interests:

  • Genome-wide DNA Methylation and Histone Modification
  • My research focuses on cancer genetics and epigenetics. In my project, I look for the relationship between histone modification and DNA methylation, one of the two main epigenetic events. Although the silencing of tumour suppressor genes is well documented, the epigenetic events that drive cancer progression have not been well identified. While integrating the mechanisms of DNA methylation and histone modifications, such research would shed light on how genes are deregulated during cancer development and could lead to the development of new targets for cancer treatment.
